HJ Social Bookmarks – ExpressionEngine 2.x plugin

The HJ Social Bookmarks plugin adds social bookmarking links to your channel entries. Version 0.9.6.4 of the plugin is now available for download. This version has been tested on ExpressionEngine v2.2.1.

The tag

Add the following code between the opening {exp:channel:entries} and closing {/exp:channel:entries} tags.

Tag parameters

  • sites= [required] 
    sites="Facebook|Twitter"

    You can use the pipe character ('|') to separate multiple values.

    The ID number of the channel entry.

  • field_name= [optional] 
    field_name="my_custom_field_name"

    When defining a field_name, HJ Social Bookmarks creates a short text summary of the selected field's content.

  • show_hyperlink_text= [optional] 
    show_hyperlink_text="left"

    This parameter allows you to show hyperlink text left or right from the icon.

    Valid options are:

    • left
    • right

    By default, no hyperlink text will be showed.

  • tweet_via= [optional] 
    tweet_via="my_screen_name"

    This parameter allows you to attribute a screen name to a tweet. By default, no screen name will be attributed.

  • class= [optional] 
    class="my_custom_class"

    This lets you specify the value of the "class" attribute in the opening <ul> tag. The default value is "hj_social_bookmarks".

Installation instructions

  • Upload the hj_social_bookmarks folder to system/expressionengine/third_party/
  • Upload the images/hj-social-bookmarks folder to images/

In your Control Panel, go to Add-Ons → Plugins → HJ Social Bookmarks
